Joining the ceremony were First Chairman of the Board of Vinaconex Vu Khoa, Former Deputy Chairman of the People's Committee of Hanoi Phi Thai Binh, Former Chairman of the Board and Former Chief Executive Officer of Vinaconex Nguyen Thanh Phuong, and other former chairmen, directors of Vinaconex's members, investors, partners, the press, current directors and employees of Vimeco.

At the ceremony, Director Nguyen Hoc Trinh delivered the speech on the development of Vimeco in the past 20 years. Established on March 24, 1997, Vimeco was formerly known as Mechanical Construction Enterprise. It was the first member of Vinaconex Corporation to turn into operating as a joint stock company since 2013. Charter capital at the point of the establishment was 10 billion VND. On December 11, 2016 the stock of Vimeco (Code: VMC) was one of the first stock codes of Vinaconex in particular and the construction industry in general in the Hanoi Stock Exchange. Now, the charter capital of Vimeco is 100 billion VND and the equity is 243 billion VND.

Vimeco plays an integral role in pioneering in the fields of Vinaconex as well as in Nghi Son Cement Plant (1997-1999), transport: Quy Cao Bridge, R4-10 Road (2000-2002), hydroelectric power and irrigation plant: Cua Dat, Buon Kuop, Ngoi Phat (2004-2008), real estate: Trung Hoa residential area 1&2 (2002-2008). In the severe financial crisis from 2011-2014, Vimeco ensured jobs and stable incomes for its employees. The lowest year dividend was 10%. After 20 years of development, Vimeco annual revenue has always been more than 1,000 billion VND (revenue in 2016 was 1,400 billion VND). Vimeco affirmed its reputation in the fields of civil foundation and industry, transport, construction stones and commercial concrete, real estate, etc. Vimeco pays 15-20% dividends. Vimeco has been highly appreciated by investors, partners as well as the government by its quality and compliance with the laws.
