The Phan Thiet – Dau Giay Expressway is one of the three sub-projects under the North-South Expressway to the East in the period of 2017 – 2020.

This highway is expected to strengthen the connection among the financial center - Ho Chi Minh City, the South-East and the South Central regions, the East and the South-West regions, and to facilitate the development of industrial parks and ecotourism in coastal areas of Binh Thuan, Ninh Thuan, Khanh Hoa. Addressing the ceremony, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh asked the Ministry of Transport, relevant ministries and agencies to keep the project on track, offer guidance, take actions to complete the project with high quality and put the construction into use on schedule.

Permanent Deputy Prime Minister reminded the investors, bidders and relevant agencies to act in compliance with the law on investment and construction, to ensure the progress and the quality of the project. He also stressed the support of the authorities and the people of Dong Nai and Binh Thuan in site clearance.

The representative of Trung Chinh Company said at the ceremony that having the experience in delivering complex projects namely Hoan Van Thu arch bridge in Hai Phong, Cua Dai bridge in Quang Nam, Hung Ha bridge in Hung Yen, Trung Chinh Company guaranteed to meet the needs of the investors.

Director of Viet Nhat Construction Machines And Trading Company Limited Nguyen Duc Vien who is the equipment provider of the project said that they were aware of the importance of the project and supplies machines of well-known Japanese brands namely Sakai, Sumitomo and Komatsu. Director Vien emphasized that they would ensure quality and safety for the construction.
